2016 Organic Tannat
Redwood Valley, California
Originally grown in the south of France, Tannat is the national grape of Uruguay and is deeply colored and robustly tannic. Our young Tannat vines, some of only 250 acres planted in the U.S., produce a rich and complex wine with hints of fruit compote, woody spice, and a long lingering finish. Pair with braised pork, curried onions, or intense dark chocolate. Our in-house chef Tamara Frey created a recipe for it.
